⁸ He captured Agag, the king of the Amalekites alive, but he put all of the people to the sword. ⁹ Saul and the people spared Agag, all of the best of the sheep and oxen, the fat calves and lambs, everything that was good. Yet, everything that was weak and useless they totally destroyed.
